The way to go forward' 작업들은 다양한 모습의 자화상과도 같습니다. 제가 가진 모순들을 진지하게 바라보고 있는 그대로 드러내려 노력했습니다. 

제 안의 일치 되지 않는 속마음과 겉모습을 물 속에 잠겨있는 본질들과 그것을 감추기 위해 떠있는 부유물들로 표현하려 했습니다. 

부유물들로 투명한 물속을  감추는 것은 타인을 의식하며 조금이나마 나은 사람처럼 보이려 가리고 치장하는 저의 모습을 투영한 것입니다. 

The way to go forward works are akin to various forms of self-portraits. I made a concerted effort to earnestly confront and reveal my internal contradictions as they are. 

I aimed to express the mismatched inner feelings and outward appearance by submerging them in water, representing the essence concealed beneath, and floating objects to mask it. 

The act of concealing the transparent water with floating objects reflects my consciousness of others, covering up and dressing up to appear as a slightly better person.
